I've had two alternator failures an one suction failure already this year.

This is an interesting idea. You can "kind of" do this with the existing extended centreline and glideslope stuff but a full-on ILS display would be perfectly possible to implement, based entirely on GPS, as a kind of "get me out of trouble" option. One could always report the quality of the fix on the instrument; many GPS chipsets regularly obtain fixes with less than 25ft of vertical error.

Well if its perfectly possible to implement then is any chance it could be implemented?

We tend to prioritise features based on customer demand, and so far this is the only request we've had. That's not to say I wouldn't like to do it, but we only have so many resources. I think this is a pretty interesting idea and if you wanted to take a couple of the SkyDemon team up and shoot some ILS approaches I expect we'd knock up a prototype to see if it's actually useful or not, to take with us and compare with the real instrument.

Can I add my voice to those wanting the ILS. It is not difficult to fly between two points regardless of the line-colour in between. But an ILS is definitely an advance and an asset.

I would also like to see a pseudo ILS option. I have tried the Shoreham GPS Approach in simulation mode which seemed to work ok

And me. its a great idea. Pocketfms does it for any runway and lets you plan a safe approach and decent. Now theres a reason to do it. Skydemon is better in every way apart from that one

I would like to see both, an e-ILS and an e-DME (e for electronic). Most of the information is within SD any way.

I like it an e-DME as well as a e-ILS could come in awfully handy.

E-ILS and an E-DME. An absolutely good idea. I am willing to try the prototype any time. There will be two of us in the AC. My companion can have as many as 15000 hours flying, just about enough to give a valid opinion about it.
